Background image optimization

Here are tips for optimizing your images to fit in the background of a section, canvas or module.

Since your folios are responsive to mobile devices and different screen size, the images will float in the background and adjust in size. Here are a couple of tricks to help you get the back placement in the background:

  • Set the width of your image at 1920px max. This is a good size for your image to look sharp on high-res screens.
  • Use row breaks to add empty space to your section, so that the full height of your image is visible.
  • Compress your images prior to uploading, for faster load time. Here’s a tool you can use for lossless compression.

Aside from background images, you can also add images to your folio inside individual image and text modules.
