Create a new project workspace

A project workspace groups the deliverables for one client or project and decides who can open them.

1. Choose + New project workspace in your dashboard’s sidebar.
2. Under What’s the name of your project?, type a name, for example a client name.
3. Under Who can access the deliverables in this project?, choose:
4. Private: only you and the people you invite. Private project workspaces are part of Xtensio Plus; on the free plan this option is greyed out and new project workspaces are Team Visible.
5. Team Visible: everyone on your team.
6. Choose Create project workspace. If the name is empty, Xtensio asks you to provide a valid project name.

The new project workspace opens straight away and appears in the sidebar.

Rename it or change who can see it

At the top of the project workspace:

• Rename: choose the … button, then Rename project workspace, type the new name and choose Rename. You can also hover over the project workspace in the sidebar, open its More menu (the three dots) and choose Rename project workspace.
• Change visibility: open the Visibility menu and choose Visibility: Private or Visibility: Team Visible. Xtensio asks you to confirm, because making a project private removes your team members from its deliverables, and making it team visible gives every team member editing access. Choose Ok to apply or Cancel to keep it as it was.

Invite people

To bring clients or colleagues into the project workspace, use Invite Collaborators at the top of it once it exists. See Adding and removing project workspace collaborators.

Make it your default

To make a project workspace your default, either:

• in the sidebar, open the project workspace’s More menu and choose Set as Default, or
• open the project workspace and choose the … button at the top, then Set as Default.

Xtensio asks “Set this project as your default project?” Confirm with Yes. The default is marked with a star in the sidebar. You can do this on every plan, including the free plan.

The free plan includes 3 project workspaces. When you have that many, + New project workspace shows what Xtensio Plus adds instead. Xtensio Plus includes unlimited project workspaces.
