Browsers and devices we support
Xtensio runs in your web browser. There is nothing to install.
Browsers
Use the latest version of one of these on a Mac or Windows computer:
- Google Chrome
- Safari
- Firefox
- Microsoft Edge (built on the same engine as Chrome)
Everything works the same in all of them: signing up and signing in, the editor (text, fonts, colours, images, tables, charts, moving and resizing modules), sharing a live link, Present and downloads.
PDF and PNG files are made on our servers, so the file you download is the same whichever browser you use.
Small differences you may notice
- Bold text can look a little heavier in Safari and Firefox than in Chrome, and takes a little more room. If a heading only just fits its box in one browser, it may wrap onto a second line in another. Leave a little spare room in tight boxes.
- Copy and paste of modules uses your computer’s clipboard. If your browser asks for permission to use the clipboard, allow it, then paste with Cmd+V (Ctrl+V on Windows).
- Present opens full screen. Click Exit at the top right to leave.
On a computer
Everything works on a computer: building and editing deliverables, Brand Kit, sharing, exports, Present and Billing. Building and editing is designed for a mouse or trackpad and a screen at least as wide as a laptop.
On a phone or tablet
You can:
- Sign up and sign in.
- See your dashboard and open Brand Kit, AI Credits and Billing from the menu under your initials.
- Start a deliverable with AI. Tap an AI template’s picture to open its AI panel, describe what you want and choose Generate Deliverable.
Use a computer for:
- Editing. The editor needs a wider screen, and its buttons are hard to reach on a phone.
- Template buttons that appear on hover, such as Preview and Use without AI.
- Inviting people and changing link settings, which are easier to read on a wider screen.
Your clients
The people you send a live link to don’t need an account or a particular browser. They can open it on a phone, tablet or computer. See Share a weblink.
If something doesn’t look right
- Make sure your browser is up to date.
- Try a private or incognito window. If Xtensio works there, something stored in your normal browser (old cookies, or an extension that blocks scripts or ads) is getting in the way.
- Still stuck? Email help@xtensio.com and tell us which browser you use, what you were doing, and attach a screenshot.
