Leave a deliverable

Team, guests & clients Updated 23 Oct 2026 1 min read

Leave one someone shared with you

  1. On your dashboard, open the More menu on the deliverable’s card.
  2. Choose Leave.
  3. Xtensio asks “Are you sure you want to leave?” Confirm with Leave Deliverable.

You can also leave from inside the deliverable: open the collaborators list at the top of the editor, point at your own row (it says (You)) and choose the x, labelled Leave Deliverable. You’re taken back to your dashboard.

Once you leave, the deliverable disappears from your dashboard and you no longer have access to it. Leaving never deletes it: the owner and everyone else on it keep theirs.

If you were a guest on another team and this was the only deliverable shared with you there, leaving also removes you from that team.

Leave one you own

You can’t simply leave a deliverable you own, because someone has to own it. You have two choices:

  • Hand it over. Open the deliverable, choose More at the top right, then Transfer Deliverable, and pick the new owner. See Transfer a deliverable.
  • Delete it. Choose Delete on the card’s More menu, or Delete Deliverable in the editor’s More menu. If other people are on it, Xtensio asks you to choose first: Delete deliverable and revoke access from all collaborators, or Transfer ownership to one of them. The button then reads Delete Deliverable or Transfer Deliverable.

Deleted deliverables go to Trash, where you can restore them. See Delete and recover deliverables.
