Text module

Build a deliverable Updated 16 Oct 2026 2 min read

Use a text module for headings, paragraphs, bulleted or numbered lists and short notes.

Add a text module

  • Click Add Text (the T icon) in the module bar. The new module appears at the top of the section and the modules already there move down.
  • Or drag the Add Text icon onto the page and drop it where you want it.

A new text module shows the grey placeholder Start Typing… until you type in it. The placeholder does not appear in your shared link or exports.

Type and edit

  1. Click the module once to select it. A blue outline appears with a small toolbar above it.
  2. Click the text again (or double-click it) to put your cursor in the text. The module bar at the top of the editor turns into the text toolbar.
  3. Type. The module grows taller on its own as you add lines.
  4. Click an empty part of the page when you’re done.

To change how the text looks (headings, fonts, sizes, colours, bold, lists, links), see Format text styles, Align text, line height and lists and Insert text links.

The module’s own toolbar

When the module is selected (not while you’re typing), the small toolbar above it has:

  • AI Helper (sparkle icon).
  • Title Color (paint drop): picks one colour for the module’s headings and links. Click a swatch, or type a hex code, then click Ok. Body text keeps its own colour.
  • Background (striped square): opens Update Module Background. Choose an image from your Library, Search FREE Photos, or pick a solid colour on the Colors tab. Reset Background removes it.
  • Adjust Vertical Alignment: Align to Top, Align to Middle or Align to Bottom. You’ll see the difference when the module is taller than its text.
  • Delete Module (bin icon). You’re asked to confirm, and this can’t be undone.
  • More (three dots): Show Border (draws a border in the module’s title colour; it then reads Hide Border), Duplicate Module, Copy Module and Copy Module Key.

To make a module bigger or smaller, drag the handles on its corners and sides. See Move and resize modules.

Rewrite with AI

Select the module and click Edit with AI at its top-right corner. Pick a quick action (Improve writing, Fix grammar, Shorten, Expand, Simplify, To bullets, To paragraph, Summarize), set a Tone, Translate, or type what you want changed. Each run uses AI credits; the panel shows how many it uses and how many you have left.

You’ll see the proposed change with removed words struck through. Click the tick to keep it.

If you select some words while typing, the same panel opens for just that selection. Press Esc to close it.
